I would recommend making a list of what it the most important to you first and then trying out all three phones to see what looks and feels best to you.
If battery and weight are the most important, then Rmax wins (fyi - the screen on this phone is actually the worst of the 3).
If screen and camera are most important, check out the Rezound (or if you want some really nice headphones).
If having lots of themes and roms to play with is important, get the Gnex.

Each of the phones have a few 'less than stellar' features.
The camera and screen on the Rmax are the worst of the three.
The battery and weight of the Rezound are the worst of the three (unless you get the extended battery).
The Gnex seems to be having quite a few bugs (speakers, radios, connectivity, ect). Some of these may have been fixed so check the forums to be sure you can live with any of these.

After going back & forth over these phones, I chose the Rezound because I need a good camera & really liked the screen and sound quality vs. the Nexus. Also, I can't live with the screen burn-in issues of an amoled screen.

Good lunk & good hunting!

WOW, thanks! I actually was leaning surprisingly to the Rezound, based from the forum @ rootzwiki and the camera is def huge(2 kids young) and I def want good sound. The fact that it is unlocked now minus( "s-off") not sure what that means, development is uprising on the Rez now.
I think also it will soon get ICS too, soo I'm good with that, seeing it live on the GNex.

The rezound has ROMs that have vanilla ICS. My friend just picked up a Rezound and I had some hands-on time with it, it's really nice. I definitely would've gotten the Rezound if I didn't like the Nexus so much.
