What was before Gingerbread?

I had a droid x from about 7 months ago and i just had to get a replacement phone and it seems it has a totally diferent software on it. How do i get back to what i had before ? Was it Froyo? Is it easy to go back to that? Having trouble with tethering on this new gingerbread. Thanks

Froyo was the OS the X shipped with yes.

You would have to SBF back, but I'm not the one to ask. Hopefully we can get a good response here for you.

i like the new look but it was so easy to get the last software to tether. Is there a one click link to get back to i think froyo? Thanks for the reply

Yes, it seems scary and complicated if you don't know much about what you're doing, but I promise it isn't. Just read the instructions, go step by step, take it slow if you need to. Let me know how it goes or if you need more help

Yep, to get back to Froyo you will have to SBF.
