What's the longest you've kept a smartphone before upgrading to a new one?

My first smartphone was the first and original droid back in late 2009. I had that one probably 10 or 11 months before getting the Droid 2 about 11 months later. That phone got messed up and they sent me a replacement, but it was Droid 2 Global. Terrible phone that I used for maybe 4 months until the HTC Thunderbolt came out in March, so I got that one and was pretty happy with it until November (so about 8 months later) when I got the Galaxy Nexus... which I've had since.

So...

Droid 1: 11 Months
Droid 2: 1 Month
Droid 2 Global: 4 Months
HTC Thunderbolt: 8 Months
Galaxy Nexus: 16 Months

I've yet to go a full 2 years on a smartphone, but I think the Galaxy Nexus will be the first I'll go all the way with. Partially because I'm waiting for my contract to expire to switch carriers, but also in part because this phone is really great.

Longest one I've kept is my Galaxy Nexus which I got on launch day. Going to replace it with the Galaxy S4 when it becomes available.

I kept my Original Droid for about 21 months before switching to this Galaxy Nexus.

19mo on the D1, but the Bionic is going strong approaching 20mo still despite my subconscious attempts to destroy it.
