Just ordered my droid yesterday should be here Wednesday...
Coming from a Blackberry Storm, really excited to get this phone.

What to do when i get it?!
Ive been reading about putting different "Roms" on it?
Custom OS?

I always like to show off my phone with whatever, so what ever advice would be great
Cant wait til i get it!

First :welcome: to the forum! My best advice to you,. Is get it and figure out some stuff before "rooting it" you may find you like how it runs already . get your apps., and the home screens set up as you like. Then see where you are at. Enjoy it!

I agree - I like it just fine right out of the box! Plus, I've heard a couple of people say it's easy to "brick" your phone if you aren't careful. None of that for me, thanks.

First thing - make sure your Gmail account is set up and ready to go, if you haven't already. That's where your contacts and calendar will sync from, too.

I wont root until I really see something I cant live w/o. 2.1 is the only thing I see worthy right now and we will eventually get that anyway.
