when i turn off my dinc then turn it back on the ringtone goes back to default?

okk so i turned of my dinc and i turned it back on and when someone called it made this weird ringtone and it was supposed to be a song ringtone that i previously set as the ringer, is this supposed to happen when i turn it off and on?
