when plugged into computer, nothing happens

According to the instructions, when I plug my Incredible into my computer, I should get a dialog box giving me options of how I would like to use it. Nothing happens except it charges. It first showed a little message saying it had downloaded the latest drivers, so I dont think thats it. I am on Windows 7. What can I do?

May sound dumb but did you pull down the top bar and press where it says to load it as a drive, or snyc, or charge? I do that and it loads both the internal and SD memories.

I cant figure out why under device manager on my Windows 7 laptop it sayd bluetooth device instead of Android phone?
