Where did my text keyboad with GIFs go?

OK, so one day I was typing a text to my daughter and just above the keyboard is an icon for GIFs. It was uber cool for an old guy like me. I used it often and then one day, POOF, it was gone.

Please help me get it back.

I think it only pops up if your text includes a GIF the is linked to a phrase included in your content.

On my phone while the the current Gboard keyboard the GIF option is mixed in the Emoji menu. Tap the emoji symbol to the left of the space bar and then the GIF option is mixed in there. Are you using Google's Gboard keyboard, or a different keyboard?
