Where Do Deleted Items Go When Mounted?

I have my Droid connected to PC/mounted. I was doing some file cleanup. I meant to just select the 2 large Sholes tar files used during the update and delete them, but realized after I did that it has said 3 files were deleted. Where do deleted files go? There weren't in recycle bin on PC. Not sure what the 3rd item was that I deleted.

I am believing that it's like deleting a file for a network...

Deleted=Gone

Oh well it was just something on the SD card. Not like it would be an important system file. I didn't realize I had something selected already and did a Ctrl click to select multiple files.

For portable flash media, typically deleted does equal gone. Of course you can recover the files with a smidge of effort and a little time, but like you said, there isn't anything of real importance on the card anyway.

Deleting on any pretty much any removable media or network drives means permanent deletion.

A recovery utility may help (if you haven't written over that part of the card already).
