When I go into settings/applications/view all. I see quickoffice as being installed but it is not in the application drawer nor is it in the widget chooser. SO where is it?

Interestiing. So when I open a doc from a download and temporarily switch to another app, there doesn't seem to be a way to get back to that doc other than to reopen from my downloads list. Am I missing something?
you need to get a file manager so you can navigate to where the file was downloaded (the downloads folder on your sd card most likely). You can either leave the file in that location, or move it to another folder. If you don't have a file manager yet, I highly suggest astro, as will most people around here. If youre rooted, root explorer is also an excellent file manager.
