Where to store my apps...

Hello sorry im new to this site, but am having a problem. I just got a droid and i dont know where to store the apps i download. I have about 40 apps but when i download them they go right to my hard drive. Is it better to keep my apps on my SD card or my HD?
Its says i have 14.92gb available and 14.93 total on my sd. And 227mb left on internal memory. Should i transfer my apps to my SD and free up the HD? Would this make my droid faster? Thanks for all the help guys!!!

That would be a great idea.

However, its not currently possible. The current android OS does not allow installing apps to the SD card. Something about making it difficult to prevent pirating software from the marketplace. There is promise of a future update adding that functionality though.

Side note: you've only used half of your internal memory with those 40 apps so you shouldn't need to worry about it unless you continue adding another 40 apps without removing any.
