I am so lost with this thing. I went from an enVy2 to the Droid 3 and I am so confused. I have something that I guess is in my trash...but I can't even figure out where the trash is on this phone. Can anyone help me? sigh...I feel like such a loser...
There isn't really a trash, When you want to remove something from your home screen there's a "trash can" at the top of the screen, just long press on the icon you want gone and drag it to the top. If you need help using the D3 just ask away. It is alot different than a dumbphone.
I guess I should be more specific...sigh...I have something that has disappeared...I suppose that I must have deleted it. How do I find it? I had an email conversation with someone and got their address (nothing kinky here...it's a freecycle deal) but lost the entire conversation somehow...heavy sigh...trying to figure out a) what I did with it and b) how to find it.
something else...yahoo mail...and I have been to the yahoo mail trash...not there...It's like the entire conversation never happened...deep heavy sigh...
well...not sure...i think the yahoo mail app. I have a folder marked 'messaging'. when I open it, I have 5 icons: universal inbox, text messaging, comcast, facebook, and yahoo. I was using the yahoo link.
Ok that's the stock email app. What I would try doing is go to yahoo and see if the emails are there. sometimes the stock app isn't great to use. If you want to use yahoo I would get the yahoo mail app from the market
yeah....I will try that...for now I have turned off the mobile mail part. Perhaps I should learn to use the phone one step at a time. I have looked on my laptop as well and the files are not there either...again...it's like the conversations never happened. ugh. Thanks for your help. I have sent the person an email explaining what happened. Hope they understand.
Well at least you can still get in touch with them. I'm not sure what happened either as I don't use that app. If you have any more questions ask away.
When you log into your actual yahoo email (you could do this from the browser on your phone as well).. see what folders you have.
There is the normal trash, and if its' not in there, look to see if you have a secondary Deleted folder.
When I had my first smart phone and I used the phone email client for yahoo.. if I deleted something, it went into this secondary deleted folder and didn't actually delete from the web app.
Okay, I'm a total Droid 3 newb. I keep accidentally dragging desktop items to the trash, but haven't the faintest idea how to undelete them.
Or how to find the trash to open it. What's the secret?

You have to put them back by long pressing the homescreen where you want them and selecting them from the list that should populate.
Or you can press and hold them while in the app drawer and then place on your homescreen.
