Where's this so-called patch or update?

So VZW and Moto say a fix is coming the beginning of November? I don't see it. Anyone else see it???? WTF??!!!

Of course they did. Oh well. Mine's not running so bad. Pretty well actually after that whole data fiasco. Maybe they're just gonna push ICS. That would be pretty cool.

Yea that would be nice. I do know now it's in the 'testing' phase. So, we may see it sooner, but we can never be sure...

Sure would be. Time will tell. In the meantime I'm still totally impressed with the Bionic; don't know about you guys.

I am as well. The only other phone that peaks my interest is the HTC. But I am very satisfied with my Bionic. :D

Maybe next time we should pin them down to the YEAR along with the Month. ;)

I'm pretty happy with mine. Data drops are bothersome, but not so frequent as to render the device unusable for me. Wish they'd just push the darn thing out though and quell the ever increasing mob of users with torches and pitch-amassing outside their nearest VZ store. :shocked-b:

I'm waiting for the "I GOT THE OTA UPDATE!!!! :icon_ lala::icon_ banana::D" threads to start. Maybe someone will capture the update and post it here.

Isn't it the .7.893 that's been making the rounds? I thought that was the patch; someone wrote an app to pull it off the Moto update servers.

Unfortunately if you look at Here's the 5.5.893 update file str8 from Moto. No root necessary. and The one step update to 5.7.893 update..inside... and Leaked 5.7.893 Full update (.886 --> .893) - Android Forums you can see there are several different "official" updates and at least 2 different ways to apply them. And they either work or work only for a couple of days. I don't consider them the real deal.

There's also an .891 floating around. My advice is wait for the official push "OTA", if at all possible, and don't risk getting off the official OTA upgrade path.

Perhaps the delay is in more testing and bug hunting?

The updates for the X2 where delayed but fixed the problems.

Yeah. But you'd think they would at least push out an interim update with just the new RADIO that appears to be fixing the 3G/4G data connection issues. Folks would be more patient if they nipped that issue in the bud.

I'm using the 7.893 and still having data issues where my tbolt has 4 bars all the time with no data connection issues. Tbolt gets 30-35mb down.. Bionic loss gets 1-2mb down.. Yes on Lte
