White Droid 2 Global?

After much deliberation, hopefully next Friday I will be ordering the Droid 2 Global. This will be my first SmartPhone and Android device. For those who have the White model, does it stain easily? Would the hard clear case Verizon sells cause any friction on the painted surface, particularly the corners, to wear or chip?

If you're worried about stains on the phone and want to protect it, you can purchase a clear gel skin that will keep your device clean and prevent some of the scratches and day to day wear on the phone. Cases are good, some make the phone feel to bulky and others may suit you so maybe go to a local store and try out their cases and see how they feel and what will be right for you. Get the dark blue, if you ever plan on getting a extended battery ie battery case

I got the white with the clear hard plastic snap on case. I'm really pleased so far. According to a post on a Verizon website (I did a google search) if you order the R2D2 extended battery it comes with the white battery door that's the same white as the D2G in white.

The white Droid 2 Global looks (IMO) way much better compared to the bluish "sapphire" one. I have always hated cases and never use them with any phone I ever owned. Case simply ruins the look of the phone, no matter how well it is made or from what materials. That's of course my personal opinion.

I have the blue d2g. I bought a rubber/harder case. It makes the phone a little thicker. But protects well. Mines pink. Hard cases make my phone slip outta my hand and the rubber flimsy thing attracts hair. I have dogs, so I didn't for it.

mines still fresh had it over a month now nakeed.. went from seidio innocase to bare naked due to the beautiful color the white brings...

I have the innocase, and I'm debating cutting a few holes in it to show off the white underneath. Actually, I'm thinking about stenciling a stormtrooper helmet onto it, and cutting it out... I would go without the case, except that I work in dusty/dirty/whatever sites, and I like the extra protection the case affords, and I bought the extended battery from Motorola, and the ONLY replacement battery door they have is grey... WTF, Moto?
