Why dont the touch-sensitive and keyboard button's backlights do not stay on?

The keyboard, and soft buttons on my Droid do not stay on. I can only get them on if I uncheck and then recheck Automatic brightness on my Droid. When I reboot, they stay off.

Help?

What browser are you using?
Since many sites just use a widget to write text box, actually it is not a real text box.
Android system can not recognize it, and keyboard won't show up.
