Why is D2 speaker quieter than D1?

This really bugs me...is it just my phone? All my friends D1s have some really loud speakers, they go twice as loud as mine. I wonder if I can take a D1 speaker and transplant it to my D2 haha. Ive even seen some DX's that go louder than mine.

Are you referring to the bottom speaker?
That speaker part is identical in both Droid 1 and 2.

The earpiece speaker is also identical. It's actually part of the main ribbon cable which is the same on both phones.

Don't know anything about the Droid X.
