why no screenshot capabilities for the Maxx?

Why doesn't Motorola include the option of a screenshot? The iphone 4S and the GNex come with the option.

You either have to root or pay $5 for a app.

It doesn't make sense to me.

Once the ICS update arrives, the MAXX will have ability to take a screen shot natively. It's built into ICS.

The ability to take a screenshot was never built into any previous versions of Android natively. Some manufacturers, such as Samsung, added it in themselves as a part of their proprietary software. I guess Motorola never saw the need to develop it for whatever reason.
