widget insanity

I have tried everything I know to change some of the widgets on my phone., downloading off the market, change from pandahome and etc., and I have an hd theme form the market ran by pandahome, I just want some tips on how to change the widgets even when you have a set theme.

I'm not sure if either of these are an option

MetaMorph and BetterCut. Both are available in the market.
