wierd mixed messaging

i have a droid x2 and every time i download a texxti g app from the market it hAs texts in the wrong order. the messages do t go back and forth between sides it will have 5 of my texts on one side and above mine on the other side will be the other persons texts. it doesnt matter if they sent the first message because mine always appear first. help!!
