WiFi connection issue

Recently I switched from my old unrooted D1 to the Rezound. I was hoping to keep my D1 around to run WiFi on in the house. However, I am having a problem of it "disapearing" or sleeping/turning its self off everytime the screen cuts out. The only thing I've did to it since upgrading the the new phone was swap the SD card out. What else should I try. The WiFi says it's connected, but notifications only come through once the screen is on. I have no problems w/ Wifi in my house w/ my computer or Rezound. Any ideas? Thanks.

You need to change the Wifi Sleep Policy. When you are in the Wifi Settings, hit the menu button, choose advanced and you will see it there.
