WiFi in Tijuana or Ensenada, Mex.?

When I ride motorcycles down through Mexico (Tijuana, Rosarito, and Ensenada), cell phones cannot get internet service past 1/4 mile of the U.S. border. With my new Droid X, will I be able to walk into a Starbucks, McDonald's, or WiFi-available hotel and access the internet/email functions?

Do I just select my WiFi settings and it's good to go? Or are there access codes, passwords, registrations, or set-ups to do?

NOTE: I don't have/use a laptop, a router, or a network....so no experience with WiFi uses. Any additional hints are welcome!

Thanks for any info!

Yes, Wifi is Wifi -- it's an international standard, so you'll be fine. If it's an open connection (like at a Starbucks) then you just need to connect. If there's a password, you'll have to ask the network owner for it.
