I haven't had that problem. Did you do a clean install?

Odd...never had any issues like this w/any of the builds.

If you haven't restored data+apps with Titanium Backup, I hate to say it, but the next level fix if you've already done the truly clean install (wipe data/factory reset, format System) is to SBF back to 2.3.20, root again, etc. :(

I'm having this same issue. Maybe the next nightly will fix it.

Gonna go ahead and resurrect this thread. Try going into Location and Security Settings and turning off using wireless networks to get location info. After that restart the phone. It seems to have worked pretty well for me.

It seems to have worked. But why? What does turning off this setting have to do with whether or not the wifi stays turned on?

I think it turns on wifi as a means of cheaply determining location, but after getting a lock or a general sense of your location, it does not then turn off wifi.

its gone now but I have another problem, when ever I lose a signal for a long time (i.e in a tunnel) When I get service again I lose the 3g I can text and make calls but the 3g doesnt connect. I would usually turn on airplane mode and it "fixes" itself, but lately it doesnt go to airplane mode, instead it turns on the wifi lol
