Wifi tether strength?

So i'm going on vaca and theres no internet so I plan on using the tether for my laptop which is no big deal but will it work for my Wii so I can watch Netflix? I use the Wii now wirelessly from my desktop but i didn't know if the tether was fast enough for it. Anyone know?

I say it not keep up well. Got the slingplayer app and not so great on the android yet versus the OS version under my old Windows Mobile. Brian
