L Laramie Member Jan 16, 2010 #1 I'm making some playlists, patiently waiting for Monday for my Droid to be delivered. I know that the "protected" type of files from itunes can't be played, but will the droid play the itunes songs that are labeled as "purchased aac"?

S stratt Member Jan 16, 2010 #3 Yes they will. Search for "Sharepod", You will have to rip them from ipod, not itunes
D dvdcatalyst Guest Jan 16, 2010 #4 If the files are iTunes+, they are DRM free, and should play fine. Thanks to Amazon, Apple changed the mp3's to DRM free a couple of months ago. Otherwise, you can look for a DRM removal program, or, burn them as a music cd in iTunes and rip them with a different Music CD ripper.

OP OP L Laramie Member Jan 16, 2010 #5 Thanks all. I downloaded doubletwist and synctunes so I'll give those a try once my Droid shows up.
