depends on what's wrong with it. I've never heard of them actually charging someone for the phone cause it was unlocked, unless the issues were in fact because it was unlocked.

and isn't the command for locking back up just : adb fastboot oem lock ??

yeah but I was having a little problem installing the drivers..and it downloaded pdanet and told me to turn it on my phone and put it into tether mode??!! pdanet was installed into the computer but I couldn't find it in the phone..I tried to fast boot the OEM lock and it read that a fast boot device was connected but it kept saying Adb drivers weren't found or that the device was defected...I have to return this phone..just worried that its unlocked..

There are a few GNex tools kits out there that will help you install the drivers. I know WugFresh has a nice little kit out there I don't if he still supports it or not, its been a while since I had my GNex but I remember having issues with the drivers myself and I had to use one of the tool kits that contained the drivers and after I ran that it work fine. The tool kit should also be able to lock the phone for you too.
