Will VTR work with my Droid?

Hello all, something I've been looking for, and can't find an answer... My car stereo (an Eclipse AVN52d) has a VTR jack, it looks like a female headphone jack, but is apparently for ipods. I guess it allows the ipod to be controlled through the stereo screen, and played through my system.

I haven't had any luck getting this to work with my Droid, is there a way to connect? Is there some cable or app that I would need?
