Ixonos is developing a 'windowed UI overlay' for Android that looks fairly interesting. The cool thing about this enhancement is that the tasks in each 'window' do not stop when you move from one to the other. For example, you could be watching a video in one window, while browsing or working on a document in the other. It's like advanced PIP! It even has the ability to run different apps on multiple screens!
Obviously comparisons to a certain Microsoft OS are in order, but the capabilities for multi-tasking with this could prove quite useful, and it might end up being a "better" version of windows than Windows ever was. Share your perspective in the forums.
Tip: You can stop watching the video at about the 2:35 mark since after that it is just MeeGo stuff.
