Wiping all data / resetting 'phone

Greetings,

sorry for the second question so soon but I couldn't find this in the manual or on a search of this forum.

Since I'm swapping my Incredible for the X I want to ensure that all of my personal data is wiped and the 'phone reset before I ship it back.

What is the safest way of ensuring this please?

I am not 100% sure where it is located on the Incredible but you basically want to do a factory reset. This will erase all data on your phone and restore it to the "just out of the box" status. One the droid 1 it in settings > privacy > factory reset. I would look around in the settings on your Incredible.

Thank you for the reply. I thought I had looked through the settings but obviously not carefully enough. There is no "privacy" option on the Incredible but I found the option when scrolling down in SD & Storage.
