Wireless tether "Local Only" when using WEP128 issue

So basically after upgrading to kangerade 5.0.9 202 froyo and using the newest wireless tether for root users app I'm only able to get a successful "Local & Internet" connection when not using the WEP128bit encryption.

I never had a problem when using DM1.0 with the older version of the same app, any ideas?
