with official 2.2 update how to root w/o desktop??

So I woke up the other morning to finally find the 2.2 update on my moto droid I said yes to myself but then come to find out I have to wait till tomorrow aug 18 to get flash is this true also how do I. Root 2.2 w/o a desk top I have a app that let's you overclock but you must be rooted please help excuse the newbness

Yes it's moved. It's still in the Droid forum but I moved in in a sub forum called Tech issues, bug reports and suggestions so it would get more exposure.

If you scroll up to the top of the screen towards the top left you will see the word "Navigation", right above your first post...it will show you the path and forum location of any given forum/thread you are in.
