Working in a Lab-Need help with Android App

Hi All,

I am currently working in a lab and we are looking for an application for droid that will be able to track the phone, wipe the phone remotely (all of the data completely off of the phone), and remotely lock the phone. We have tested AndroidLost and although it seems to be working sometimes, other times it does not. We are also worried about third parties getting access to the information on the phone. We also need an application that can have up to 20 phones on one account. We are currently using a DROID RAZR running android version 4.1.2. If anyone has any suggestions on apps that we can use please let us know, it would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Thank you both for your replies, I will look into the applications and see if they can be used in the lab. Thanks again!:)

Cerberus maybe?

Edit: this can also be done with Google device policy if you have a G Apps account for business.

The problem with Google device policy is that it does not let us remotely let us access data. So if the phone is lost, we would like to be able to remotely access the data and then wipe the phone.

Remote Phone Access app , by Remote Phone Access, in combination with the above suggestion might be what you seek. It's free so you're out nothing if that isn't what you need.

Thank you for your response, I will test out the application!

Hi again,

I just wanted to thank all of you for your responses, as they were very helpful. We decided to stick with the AndroidLost app because we were pressed for time, and that application was free. I just had one more question, does anyone know how many phones can be under one account with that app? We had put 6 phones under one AndroidLost account, and the rest of the phones did not show up. I'm thinking that six may be the limit, but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks!dancedroid

Have you been to their forum? I saw a user with the same scenario (lab and all) asked there today around noon and has yet to hear an answer back.
If I see an answer and it wasn't you I'll post back here.

Hi mountainbikermark, if you mean the actual android lost forum then yes that was me. I am trying to find a definite answer to the question, I thought maybe posting the question on the actual android lost forum would get me an answer. So far no luck...
