Write me an APP? (Law Enforcement)

Hello,
I am a Police Officer and I am looking for an app to assist in doing Standardized Field Sobriety Tests for DUI Stops with the DROID. I used to use a program on my old PALM V called FSTLog. I can't seen to find anything related for the DROID. Anyone have any ideas? Anyone want to write an app for us police officers?

I am just looking for something that is just a little bit more than just filling in check boxes for each field sobriety test. Text boxes for Case Number and Defendant name. Input box to Preliminary Breath Test, etc.

Then an export feature to print it all out to attach to the court paperwork. Any volunteers?

Thanx,
MotorPlow

Man...if I could I would...Im sure there has to be someone on here that could do this for you...maybe one of the moderators can help you out...good luck!!

I've been searching for an application like that too....I've used my droid for setting up perimeters on robbery calls and things like that....a DWI app would be nice too...its amazing how usefull this phone is in Law Enforcement!!

Seems more like a job for a Docs to Go spreadsheet which is Microsoft Excel compatible. Create the blank form with the proper headings and save it. Create a shortcut onto your home page that points to this master form to get there quickly. Then after filling it out for a defendant, save this "filled out" form with a file name of the case number or defendant name.

Since its MS Excel compatible, it's easy to print it out on a computer or just email the file to the secretary. To me, another advantage of a spreadsheet is that whenever you want to add or modify the form, you don't have ask the developer to make the change. You easily do it yourself. And of course you can create forms for other things on the job.

ok, but I am looking for something that I could just click some boxes. Can't be typing a lot when I need to keep my eyes on the suspect for officer safety. Any volunteers?

what would you need an ap for DWI??? thats Driving Without Insurance

I'm former LEO and I'd be pissed if I had to throw down with a suspect all of a sudden and had to toss my droid to get to my belt while deflecting a blow etc. LOL!! There'd be some serious head cracking after that!
