Up until now, the only way to get your hands on a Xiaomi or Meizu made smartphone in the United States was to import it. Now that Huawei and a few other Chinese firms have broken down the walls to start getting their devices sold in the U.S., it looks like maybe the flood-gates are about to open.

US Mobile will now sell you a Xiaomi or Meizu made smartphone. There's still one caveat. The devices they are offer are not compatible with US LTE bands. Obviously, most of our members won't be able to take advantage of these offers because they aren't with US Mobile, but at least its a start to getting a greater variety of smartphone products into the US.

The phones that US Mobile offers include: Xiaomi Mi 4i for $219, Xiaomi Mi 3 for $139, Xiaomi Redmi 2 for $119, and Meizu M2 Note for $149. Sound off if you know anyone on US Mobile who might be tempted by this.

If they were compatible with the US LTE bands, i wouldn't mind trying one out, as they are pretty cheap on the pocketbook.
