Xoom Notifications

When I first got my xoom I was getting notifications down next to the clock. I am not anymore? Is there a setting for this? My notifications are still there but I have to tap on the clock to pull them up. The only difference I can see is nsow I am exclusively using wifi instead of 3g.

Same happened to me :'( no idea how to fix it
