Yahoo Messenger sending multiple messages

I've been having problems with my YM app on my Droid Pro. Every time I send a message, the other end gets the same message 3-5 times! It gets annoying (for them).

Also sometimes even when I am online on my phone (I constantly am), I don't receive some of the ims sent to me. I only find out when I log on my computer and get the "offline" messages

Does anyone know what's causing this and how it can be fixed?

Probably an issue with the app itself, i use fring that combines several im apps in one and no issues.

Switch to a different IM app and see if the problem goes away, e.g. try Trillian.
