Android TV was recently announced. The new Nexus Player was also announced along side the upcoming Nexus 6 and Nexus 9. Google has decide to require developers to declare that their apps have been tested and are compatible with Android TV. This means that your app selection may be pretty limited when the Nexus Player first comes out. This could be pretty frustrating especially if you know that the app you need will work with your Android TV device. There are several Android Media devices that will run all Android apps, so it would seem like the Android TV would be able to do the same. It seems as if Google wants to be sure that the end user experience is seamless.
Developer Chainfire has devised a way to sideload apps to the Android TV for installation. It took him about two hours to code his new project "Sideload Launcher". This will allow you to run just about any Android app on your TV Screen! This will be a super helpful tool for new Android TV devices! Head to the Play link below for the download link.
