Your "pengyou" in China

Hi! Pengyou is Chinese for friend I am teaching in China now - living there, too, of course I recently bought a moto me501 which seems to be the overseas name for the cliq? or cliq xt? I noticed that this phone has an upgrade to android 2.x but there is not yet one available in China I am guessing it is because of the language issues? Can someone point me to some links to learn how to upgrade (flash??) my phone myself? The biggest problem that I have is that it did not come with the android marketplace app
