Youtube app not working, help

Ok so I tried to login to my youtube account on my samsung captivate, and now every time I open the youtube app it freezes and says there is "no connection to the network". I tried resetting and removing my account from the phone because it worked fine before I tried to login to my account. Turned the phone off and on I'm not sure what to do.
