Zoom video camera?

The normal camera has zoom capability, but I couldn't find anyway to zoom in using the video camera. Is there a way?

Double tap the screen and it will zoom & display the - + icon.

Yeah double tap the screen works for the still camera. That doesn't work for the video camera though. Also if you zoom the camera it seems to reset to the standard view when you switch to video.
