Amazon app

The Verizon version of the Note 2 comes with a huge Amazon app that fills up a whole page. It is bad enough to have preinstalled crapware but something of that size is absurd. Is there any way to remove the app from a homepage or at least shrink it without rooting?

You can drag it to the trash and then go under apps and disable it.

Thanks. For some reason (probably because it was so damn large) I apparently wasn't dragging it far enough when I wrote that so the trash can didn't seem to be accepting it. I tried again and it worked.
