black screen

Looking for help with my Husband's Razr Maxx. His phone went crazy today and then went to black screen. When plugged in I get the Motorola M and the battery goes from 5% to 100% in seconds. I was able to get it into recovery mode but only while plugged in, I even was able to perform a factory reset but the device still won't boot.

Any ideas?

Replacement device is on its way, with the 20" of snow forecasted for today not sure when it will arrive
