Charging the Droid at night.

Quick question. I power down the droid and then as soon as I plug it in to charge it turns itself on automatically! Is there anyway to prevent this from happening? Also, if I use the alarm clock on the droid and do a full power down, will the alarm turn the phone on automatically in the morning to wake my butt up? Any help would be appreciated!!:motdroidhoriz:

I have found that the phone must be on to charge I did the same thing you did and there was charge so I turn the phone on and it charged completely

the only option is to return the phone. do it now before your 30 days are up.

The phone has a default setting that causes this to happen. Go into setting > Application >development and uncheck stay awake. This will fix the problem while charging.
There is no issue with the phone..

Why would people want to cut the phone off during a charge anyway?

There probably isn't much of a difference in charge times, and you might miss an important call or something.

If the phone's light is bothering you, just flip the screen face-down when you sit it on a table or whatever...

Press and hold the Power/Lock button at the top right edge of the phone. When the Phone Options box comes up, tap Power Off. Confirm and the phone will shutdown.

To power back on, just press the Power/Lock button.
