Cracked screen

Its a crack on the top right corner and its not deep and doesn't effect functionality.

So that's all good.

Does the value go down say..100$ ?

I cracked my screen on a tablet, and the touch stopped working. I was able to use it with the mouse though. After that, while using it on the sunny day, I changed the brightness, and in a few minutes my screen became dim, so that I hardly could see anything in the shadow. I made a soft reset, but nothing changed, so I backuped it to the factory settings, but the screen became completely black. The computer sees it, and everything is working, but the screen doesn't work, and it seems there is no backlight. After it was turned off for a few hours, I turned it on, and the screen worked properly, but later it became black again. Has it something to do with the battery maybe?
