This sounds fantastic. I'm glad someone's still working on D1 ROMs. :)

D1 is Verizon/Moto's last stand when it comes to modded phones. Moto's gone into the business of locking down their phones so D1 is the last fully-capable phone they'll allow. Bastards. {{>_<}}

You guys are mislead.

If you guys think development has been at a standstill for Droid 1.

Cyanogen 6.1 out soon
Blackdroid Ultimate 9.0 out soon.

Sapphire 1.1.1 just came out

Actngrezy's Elite Rom just released.

I would not worry about a halt in D1 Roms, cause there is none.

not sure that is 100 % true.

Droidx
Droid2 and a couple more were rooted quicker than most.

i agree. it looks like birdman, koush, and the rest can hack just about anything. in the future, i think it will come down to a numbers game - i.e., a phone model as popular as the D1 that will sustain the demand for rooting and custom roms. there will most likely always be the ability to hack a phone. the question is whether enough people will be using the phone such that it's feasible to to develop custom roms to the same extent seen by the D1...

Not quite. I'll give it to our boys for rooting, but they still haven't cracked eFuse or gotten the custom overclock kernals onto either one (and I'm sure those things can FLY if their wings hadn't been clipped). {{-_-}}

Hey guys I'm new to the world of rooted D1's but I am running LI Mod and am curious to know how an update would work? Would I have to download a completely new ROM or would it update through the market like the recently updated settings option for LI Mod? Also curious if any of you guys are having trouble with chrome to phone?
