hi all,

I'm trying to get the unlock token at htcdev and I keep getting this message after I submit the copied txt from the fastboot result.

error code: 172. error reason: cid not allowed (mid not exist in model rule).

Please... any help would be most appreciated.

If you haven't found out yet, your phone doesn't support HTC unlock...or rather HTC unlock doesn't support your phone. You will need a 3rd party option

Yeah. That seems to be the case and so far, Sunshine is the only option and that doesn't work on 4.4.4 right now either. However, it's supposed to work on 4.4.3.

Does anyone know if it's possible to downgrade via RUU without being unlocked or rooted?
