I'm about to pull the trigger, but I have some questions. Now that people have the device in-hand, can somebody comment on their experience?

1). How does the HDMI work?

Is it a clone of the screen no matter what the app, or is it only in certain apps like the DroidX? Can it charge while it's connected to the monitor/tv? 720p or 1080p?

2). How does MTP work in Windows?

Do you just plug it in and get to drag and drop just like USB Mass Storage? I've never had an MTP device before, and I rarely use windows.

3). How does MTP work with Linux?

I figure it's unlikely anyone has tried this, yet, but if you have, does it work??

Well, I ordered mine online so I'll get it tomorrow. I run FC14 at the office here and will let you know what happens when I plug 'er in.

I haven't found anything conclusive yet, but I did see some videos and tutorials showing how to connect other MTP devices (mostly music players) to both windows and linux. Looks like Windows will be just drag and drop for files, linux will be a mess of setting up, but it can be mounted like any other drive. With time I'm sure that will improve and it will become a plug+play connection.
