Intermittent email notifications

I have a Droid X that has two email accounts setup on it. One is a Hotmail account and the other is a corporate sync. I get intermittent notifications on the corporate sync account and get them all the time on the Hotmail account. Has anyone els had notification problems like this?

if it is the same email client as on my droid then it's broken. use k9 which is free from the market
