My truck's radio not letting me play music through the radio!

I've got a 2013 GMC Sierra Denali, and the radio tells me it can't read my phone, or media can't be used is what it's telling me. Anyone know if there is a way to use my droid razr maxx in my truck?

Are you using the USB or Bluetooth. Bluetooth should work, my F150 (sync system) won't read the music through the USB to the phone, but will play wirelessly via Bluetooth. I have a small USB stick loaded with music plugged into the USB port.

Yeah USB. I don't think I can do it through bluetooth with my truck. I may to get a card then. Any recommendations?
