New watch - phone won't show notifications now.

I finally broke down and upgraded my smartwatch. Asus Zenwatch 3. My phone is a Moto Z Force.

Since adding the new watch, my phone isn't showing notifications ie Facebook, LinkedIn, Tapatalk, email, etc. No new updates on my phone, so I'm nearly certain it's linked to the connection with my watch.

Thoughts?

Let's check the settings in Android Wear in your phone.
Open it up. Click the gear icon.
Go to block app notifications. That should be empty. Silence phone while wearing watch...is that off?

Nope, I'm good on both.
I also restarted my phone and cleared the cache in Google Play (recommended elsewhere)

That's all I got...
At this point, I'd unpair watch. Do it in Android Wear. It will reset watch. Notifications start working? Then we have a culprit at least.
Repair watch. Test again.

While poking around, I noticed Play on my watch isn't showing all my apps. Not even close. I think something didn't pair up properly when I installed the watch. However, I'm thinking that has nothing to do with my stated problem, but I'm ready to reset and start over.

I have no other suggestions either. Normally people don't see Notifications on their watch, which is fairly common. First I have ever heard of Notifications stopping in the phone because of a smart watch.

I tend to agree with PereDroid.

Ha! I reset the watch lol. I'd have to have a gun to my head to reset my phone right now lol. .
Watch is having problems starting connected to WiFi to set up. I swear, it's always something....

There's a setting somewhere to turn something off regarding my watch and phonecalls. I can't get in to find it because of all the installs and updates

Right now, they seem to be coming through -- I think. Didn't wait a full day to make sure they all work, but Gmail & texts came in. Tapatalk did NOT, but I'm thinking I shut off those settings. I need to check.

All available notification alerts are turned in for Tapatalk. Not sure why it's not notifying me. I'll set it to to send emails until I figure that one out. *sigh*

I have had some issues lately with no Notifications from Tapatalk. It's been kind of hit & miss for me. Tapatalk Notifications work for a long while, then don't work for a day or two, then are good again for a few weeks, etc.
