NFC and Metal Covers

I understand that some metal covers will affect the NFC or WIFI radios on the S3. Does anyone know this to be the case?

If the case is metal then it would effect the NFC capabilities in the S3. The reason for this is because NFC uses electromagnetic induction and metal will interfere with this process. So because of this if you want to use the NFC capabilities then you wouldn't want to use a metal cover.
