Nah, never was a fan of the back engraving ... the greeting screen can be undone whereas engraving cannot in the event I sell it or give it to a family member when the next bigger and better phone comes along LOL

Very true, good points. If you could have them engrave that super-smiley avatar on the back that would be pretty awesome. Enjoy your new phone! I am looking forward to reading some reviews by the folks that do get them.

I liked the leather on the 2014 but don't like the textured look it has on this year's model. So, I opted to give the wood back a shot! Heck, I have 14 days to redesign if I want

That is a nice looking phone. When I was looking & debating between the X and the Turbo I was pretty set on leather if I bought the X. The football leather option from last year was cool too, I saw one in a Verizon store & it felt nice to hold.

I'm pretty sure that a FDR clears the welcome message. Well...at least on the original Moto X. Maybe they mean..."yours forever" because you can't change it yourself. But I think a FDR wipes it clean?
